Our Work
"Into Women's Hands" — Misoprostol Accessibility in West Africa
Brandeis University, Department of Sociology This international, multi-site research collaboration examines the circulation and accessibility of misoprostol in Senegal and Burkina Faso — a medication critical to preventing postpartum hemorrhage, one of the leading causes of maternal death. As a consultant, Dr. Marton supports the full research lifecycle: conducting literature and policy reviews, managing qualitative data in NVivo, maintaining codebooks, and translating research materials between French and English. She works closely with research partners in West Africa to ensure data coherence across platforms, and contributes to grant applications, IRB proposals, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed publications. The project's findings aim to inform policy on safe access to reproductive health medicines in low- and middle-income countries.
